RELATED APPLICATIONS
Application form for the registration of private water supplies
Following the transposition of the European Union Directive 98/83/EC on the quality of water intended for human consumption by L.N. 23 of 2004 and amended by L.N. 116 of 2004, all private water supplies intended for human consumption have to conform to the requirements of the above mentioned regulations. Hence, they have to be registered with the Health Authority according to the provision under L.N. 357 of 2004.

Registration shall be carried out in writing on the prescribed form, which can be acquired from the Health Authority or downloaded from this web page, which has to be duly filled and forwarded to the designated office (Environmental Health Unit, Civic Centre, Convent Street, Żabbar ŻBR 1351).

A Private Water Supplier who has more than one Private Water Supply has to register each and every one of his supplies. Once the registration form is received at the Environmental Health Unit and checked that all relevant information is duly filled prior his Private Water Supply is official registered. In a nutshell Private Water Suppliers would have to provide microbiological and chemical analysis results for each source of water as per Schedule I Part A and Part B of L.N. 116 of 2004 in accordance with regulation 7 of L.N. 23 of 2004. Once these results are made available to the Health Authority and found to conform to the parametric values of the same regulations, the said Private Water Supply can be officially registered according to L.N. 357 of 2004.

The list of registered private water suppliers as per L.N . 357 of 2004 can be viewed here
