| On-line Information |

The Department provides information on certain health issues such as smoking (21 221897), nutrition (tel. no. 21 242862) and sexually health (tel. no. 21 231247 ) to the general public. Callers have the option to remain anonymous. In case of need, they can get further information from HPD by appointment or by referral to appropriate centres.
The Department and Caritas also run a Counselling Service known as Xefaq. This can be accessed on tel. no. 21 233933 (Caritas).
Support for non-governmental organisations and self-help groups.
The Department provides assistance and support for NGOs and self-help groups working in the health field in furtherance of their aims. |

| Smoking Cessation Clinics |

Smokers intent on quitting are encouraged to apply for these sessions, presently operating in five Health Centres. These clinics are conducted free of charge. You can apply using the special application forms available at all Health Centres and at the Centru Taghrif dwar Sahhtek, or apply directly from here using the online application for 'Stop Smoking' Course' |

| Weight Reduction Clinics |

Overweight persons wanting to lose weight and needing the support of professionals many apply to attend these group sessions which are co-ordinated by qualified professionals. A telephone help line is operated on tel. no. 21 242862 between 8 am and 3 pm from Monday to Friday.
Applications are available from Centru Taghrif dwar Sahhtek. These sessions are free of charge. |
